Long story short: Good food, less than stellar service. But given the positioning of the restaurant, I guess this bumps the service to just shy of Bleargh.
Don't really enjoy having my cutlery thrust wordlessly in front of my face. Or having to repeatedly wave my hands around like some inefficient fly catcher to get service. Considering that the entire indoor area is tiny compared to most restaurants, this is actually quite unnecessary and most unenjoyable.
Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it), service improved vastly only after the dinner hour was over and the drinks sessions began. Pity we were gonna leave soon already. Oh, well, better than nothing.
But the food....mmm.....quite good. Quite good indeed. Fries? Nice. Chicken wings? MMMMmmmmm. Deviled eggs with bacon? OH MY YES. Burger was good too, although lacking a little in the flavour department. But it must be noted that I was recovering from a bad flu and my palate was less than effective (everything was tasting like cardboard for the last few weeks). Andrea gave it two thumbs up, though. :)
