Well, this sucks

Watch the video, read the article.

Basically it’s about this 13yr-old girl who was suffering from depression but made a friend online and got all happy. Then the friend told her “the world would be a better place without you” and she killed herself shortly after.

The kicker?

The “friend” is actually the girl’s neighbours. No, not the neighbour’s kid, but the parents. Apparently they took on a teenage persona online and deliberately chatted up this girl because they wanted to find out if she was spreading malicious rumours about their own child.

I do wonder if they feel bad about what they caused or if they’re going “it’s not MY fault she killed herself. I was only looking out for my own child!”
And come on, someone says something nasty about your teenage child and you go all ballistic and start snooping around? What next? A classmate calls their kid a “poo-poo head” and they sue?
