Reaffirmed Promises

This morning, for no reason whatsoever, it suddenly occurred to me that I’ve been somewhat lacking in living life the way I promised I would.




St. Andrew’s Scout Prayer


O God of our creation,
As every morning brings a noble chance,
And every chance a noble knight,
Bestow us with Thy grace that we be always prepared in life
So as to fight the good fight of faith;
Inspire us by Thy Holy Spirit to do our duty like true Scouts,
To help other people at all times,
To stand up for what is right,
To think wisely, to speak truly, to resolve bravely,
To act kindly, and to live purely.
Bless us in body and soul and make us a blessing to our friends.
Let the assurance of Thy presence assist us to uphold and
Maintain the ideals and spirit of the Founder of our Movement.
O Lord our God, accept this prayer for Jesus Christ’s sake. Amen.
